Directly on a beach in Vietnam is an entire village presumably made up of Rông Houses manifested from the Central Highland of the country. Upon closer scrutiny, these are actually the villas of a failed beach resort.

Vietnam's abandoned water park is so famous it has it’s own hostel

At one time Thuy Tien Lake was a bit more mysterious and sensational. Accounts claimed the only way to find the park was by directions passed from one backpacker to another and tales spoke of starving crocodiles left to fend for themselves inside the park’s aquarium. Today the crumbling water park is listed clearly on Google Maps.
